Well, I was born in upstate New York, where I lived among the snow and trees for seventeen years. It was a quiet and rather boring existence, but it was there that I developed a love of horror and fantasy fiction.When I was seventeen, I joined the Navy to become a hospital corpsman. After my stint in the military - which transplanted me to my new home in San Diego - I started writing. For several years I worked as a freelancer, rarely making ends meet, and finally took a day job. I still wrote for a while, and published quite a few stories. Then, for some unfathomable reason, I fell away from writing fiction. I started working on music, and that garnered much of my time.Now, older and with a slightly better sense of time management, I am again freelancing full time and actually making quite a good go of things
